This notice describes the Android app and this download website separately.
Microphone and local processing
The microphone is used only for recording or listening you start. Recognition runs on your Android device; microphone audio and saved phrases are never sent to a server. Internet permission is used only for a language download you request.
What stays on your device
Your saved recordings, personal profiles, recognition settings and event history are stored locally in the app. Saved audio samples are encrypted in app storage. Android cloud backup is disabled for the app. You can remove samples, profiles and history using the app's controls; clearing app data or uninstalling removes the app's local data.
Permissions
Microphone access supports recording and recognition. Notifications and vibration provide alerts. Optional full-screen alerts can show sound names above the lock screen and pulse slowly in the color selected for that sound. Android notification, full-screen, lock-screen and Do Not Disturb settings still apply. A foreground microphone service and wake lock support listening you start.
Accounts, advertising and analytics
The app has no accounts, advertising, cloud sound recognition or analytics service. It does not upload your saved sound profiles or recordings.
This website
This is a static information and APK download website. It uses no analytics, advertising, cookies, forms or fonts from external services. Standard server access logs may record requests, including IP address, time, requested path and browser information. Downloading an APK does not transmit the app's recordings or profiles. Ordinary sound recognition is available immediately. For names and phrases spoken by different voices, download the languages you need once in the app settings. The original models then work offline. Up to three languages can be stored and unused languages can be removed.
Your choice
You decide when recording or monitoring starts and can stop it in the app. You can revoke microphone and notification permissions in Android settings. Without microphone access, the app cannot recognise sounds.
